Vimotek

Built around spacecraft encounters.

Vimotek is a European space technology company connecting mission-specific digital twins with onboard sensing and perception to help operators prepare for and handle spacecraft encounters before and during missions.

Purpose

Every spacecraft interaction should be safe, precise and intentional.

Spacecraft are increasingly operating in proximity to other spacecraft. Vimotek is building the technology operators need to make those encounters controlled, predictable and better understood.

What defines Vimotek

Linking intent with operational reality.

Built around spacecraft encounters

Spacecraft encounters are the focus of Vimotek’s technology, systems and mission development.

Integrated capability

Know what should happen — and what is happening.

Mission-specific digital twins test expected behaviour. Onboard sensing and perception show what is happening around the spacecraft.

Developed and controlled in Europe

European development and control where trusted suppliers, mission assurance, resilience and strategic autonomy matter.

Spacecraft encounters have two sides: what should happen, and what is happening.

Mission-specific digital twins establish the expected context — spacecraft behaviour, sensor performance, mission logic, CONOPS and possible responses can be modelled, validated and rehearsed before and during operations.

Onboard sensing and perception provide the operational reality — acquiring, tracking, characterising and assessing what is actually happening around the spacecraft when proximity becomes real.

Bringing these together connects mission intent with observed behaviour. It helps operators prepare for encounters, execute planned proximity operations more precisely and respond to unexpected proximity events with better information.

Our disciplines

Multidisciplinary capability for spacecraft encounters.

  1. 01

    Space systems

Mission architecture, spacecraft behaviour and operational context.

  2. 02

    Digital twins

Mission-specific models connecting spacecraft, sensors, CONOPS and scenarios.

  1. 03

    Simulation & GNC

Validation of guidance, navigation, control and mission logic.

  2. 04

    Sensing & photonics

Optical and laser-based sensing across encounter conditions.

  1. 05

    Perception

Detection, tracking, characterisation and relative state estimation.

  2. 06

    Embedded systems

Onboard processing and integration for flight applications.

Together, these disciplines connect mission intent, physical sensing and operational behaviour around the same spacecraft encounter.
